1. You need world of warcraft source and there is two way to have it , Buy the DVD or Download it , so if you have DVD then you will install the wow easy and quick or else to download and install the game you have to download the application WoWinstaller.exe - run it choose the wrath of the lich king expansion and let it download and install the game for you .
2. Now since you install the world of warcraft client you have to update it manually Start from Patch 3.0.1 update to higher patch releases . for enUS download link mirror here (USA) and enGB Here (Europe) <<Direct download link>> ..download all patch until the 3.3.5a . copy and paste them into the world of warcraft installed directory and start to opening and updating them one by one , remember be patient some of update has large size so its take time to extract and update (depend on your pc hardware speed ), and after you finish update each patch close every automatic update and just do update manually , when you finish all update to 3.3.5 or your not sure what patch you have installed you can open the file name >> patch <<(notepad file ) located in your wow installed root directory .
3. Next thing is changing the realm list for playing in private servers so you have to open and edit the file name Realmlist or Realmlist.wtf ( located : \Data\enGB\ ) . Open with file by notepad and you will see like :
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.comJust change the us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com to the name of your private server that you playing on it .
example i play in wow-titans ^.^ and mine is like :
set realmlist logon.wow-titans.com set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com4. Ok now get back to your world of warcraft installed root directory and make a shortcut of file name WOW or WOW.exe to your desktop , ( right click on it > send to > desktop ) never open or run the file Launcher | Launcher.exe .
